AWARD WINNERS – 2019 GREEK FILM EXPO
The 2019 Alexis Mouyiaris Memorial Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film went to actress Marisha Triantafyllidou for her role in Her Job as an oppressed housewife who finds empowerment when forced to get her first job to support her family. Triantafyllidou is also the recipient of the 2019 Hellenic Film Academy Award for Best Actress for her role.
The 2019 New York Greek Film Expo Audience Award for most popular film was given to Kazantzakis, the award-winning dramatization of the life of Nikos Kazantzakis, widely considered the greatest Greek writer of the 20th century. Directed by Yannis Smaragdis.
